Chapter 2 “Mushinkeina‘s Fire”
Later that day at Kyūseishu’s house
“Come on Kyū,” says an older man as he sits cross-legged on the floor
looking toward Kyū, who is in a corner of the house leaning his shoulder
on the hey wall looking very pensive. “Not now grandpa,” says Kyū. “Kyū,”
responds the old man in a sad voice, “you used to love this story when you were younger.
What has happened to you Kyū? Tondemonai used to be your most FAVORITE story. Kyū, you used to be a very happy young boy. What happened that made you so sad?
Look at Yūjin Taki here next to me (The bald boy, around 10 years old,
has a huge white smile as Kyū looks over using only his eyes).
“That story is for kids, grandpa,” says Kyū in a very serious voice.
“I stopped being a kid a long time ago.” “Kyū, you cannot let The Kuchiku-kan
ruin your life like this, son,” answers the older man. “Yūjin deals with those soulless
soldiers just like any one of us and he always manages to keep a smile.”
“Yūjin is just a boy, grandpa,” says Kyū… “Come on, granpa Kyōshi Hābesutā,”
says Yūjin. “Keep tellin’ me the amazin’ stor’ of THE TONDEMONAI,”
he says in a ghostly voice. “Alright, Yūjin-san,” replies grandpa Kyōshi.
“From the start again, grandpa Kyōshi Hābesutā,” says Yūjin.
“Kyū interrupted my memory with his face!” “Ha ha ha,” laughs grandpa Kyōshi.
“Long, long ago, in what was the beautiful time of this Heiwa, Megami, Japan,
grandpa Kyōshi the was working on the farm late in the evening, when all of a sudden,
out of the corner of my eye I saw this very, very bright star appear in the sky.
As grandpa Kyōshi observed astonished, that star grew and grew
brighter and brighter, but instead of flying ACROSS the sky, what was now a very
huge-looking star, went down and crashed here in Heiwa.
Everyone was very scared as was grandpa Kyōshi, as I was only a few year
younger than you are now, Yūjin-san.” Grandpa looks at Yūjin,
who is leaning towards him with his eyes wide open waiting to hear more.
“Soon after, a few men started walking toward where the crash occurred,
amongst these men was my father, Kyōshi Hābesutā the second.
Once we arrived at the crash-site, we saw nothing, but an IMMENSE crater
in the ground. Not many that I know of, believe this story to be true besides us three here.
Yes, yes, the story has been passed down by many, many family,
but it is seen upon as nothing more than a folktale. No, not me.
Before the The Kuchiku-kan arrived, I spent all my free time studying
what happened that night in Heiwa. Tondemonai… is NO folktale.” ELEMENT FIGHTERS

Chapter 2 “Mushinkeina‘s Fire”
That night, out in the village
Mushinkeina is sitting on a big rock, out between what is left of the trees in the jungle.
“Mushinkeina Kibishī,” Mushinkeina says to himself. “You WILL be the king
of all Japan. Ha ha ha. I am a God. I possess power that nobody else possesses
in this pathetic world. I, Mushinkeina Kibishī, the so called
‘Demon’s Child,’ will take over Japan!” He stands up quickly, raises his left arm firmly.
His fist closed tightly as his arm shakes. Mushinkeina stares firmly at a slithering snake
on the trunk of a tree… Mushinkeina opens his hand sharply… The serious look
on his face, slowly turns into a one-sided smile “Pathetic,” he says as he walks toward
the snake which is now set on fire. He stands right beside the snake as he
looks down, watching it burn to black ashes. “Demon’s Child INDEED,”
he says to himself as his half smile turns into a full grin…
“General,” says a deep voice. Mushinkeina turns around slowly.
“Yes,” asks Mushinkeina. “The worker wants to speak to you,” replies Gorira Sangaku.
“Very well,” answers Mushinkeina. Now, did you do the special task I gave you?”
“It is all done, sir,” responds Gorira, firmly. “Delightful,” says Mushinkeina
as he turns his head back to see the fire slowly go out and the snake
turned completely into ashes.
That night, Ryōshi Kuraudo’s Home
“Where is Ryōshi,” asks Nikkō worried as she looks out of the hut’s entrance.
“Ryōshi is always here to eat at this time. I hope nothing has happened
to my good Ryōshi. OH,” she gasps in surprise. “What are you doing here?”
“I came to see if Ryōshi was here,” answers Kyū as he looks around.
“Ryōshi has not come back yet. He must be on his way here,” she says.
“What’s wrong? You never here this late. How did you know Ryōshi was not here?”
She approaches Kyū confused. “Is Ryōshi alright?”
“The Kuchiku-kan took him from the field today,” says Kyū worried.
That night, The Kuchiku-kan’s Hut
“Very well, Ryōshi Kuraudo, I assume you are ready to tell me who helped you
with the water today,” Mushinkeina speaks arrogantly. “No, sir,” replies Ryōshi.
“Nobody helped me with the water. I made ONE trip in half hour. I do not know
where the men got the other water.” “Kill him,” says Mushinkeina…
